RESUMPTION NEWSLETTER TO PARENTS
Happy New Year to every one of you, thank you for bringing your wards back to school. As a caring and listening school, we wish to furnish you with some of our programmes for the term and solicit your usual support.
We have looked at our closing time and have reviewed it to suit our parents who may wish to undertake one evening programme or the other; particularly religious activities. Below is the new closing schedule.

Thursday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (No longer 5:00 pm)
Friday 7:30am – 1:30pm
Due to the need to meet up with our financial commitment as a school, it will be appreciated, if henceforth, parents of both day and boarding students pay the school fess on the first day of resumption. The school has a payment plan in place if 100% of the school fees cannot be paid on the first day of resumption. Parents should please work with us on this as it will help the school meet her obligations as at when expected. For more enquiries on this, call the principal on 07030074588

Student Leadership Training
As part of our curriculum, we aim at instilling leadership skills in our students which ultimately make them leaders. With the above, parents should be informed that all ss2 students and some selected students from JS1-SS1 will be attending a leadership programme in the school from 27th – 28th January, 2017. On 27th January which is a Friday, the training will be from 2:30pm to 6:00pm while on the 28th January, 2017 will be from 9:00 am – 4pm. Students that will take part in the training will be given a memo to this effect for their parents.
STUDENTS EXEAT FROM SCHOOL
As a security conscious school, we want to plead with parents to create time to pick their wards from school and if any parent is not disposed to pick his/her ward the parent should please send in trusted guardians or persons to pick his/her ward after closing. If any student/ward goes home on his/her own, it is expected by our policy that the parent see the School Principal or give a letter to the Principal authorizing the school to allow the student to go home on his/her own.
In order to ease the challenges of school runs for parents, the school has introduced a bus service that runs within Kaduna metropolis, please call 070300745888 for more details

We shall be having the first phase of our school’s extension programme for js3 and ss3 students from 25th February to 4th march, 2017. With this, all js3 and ss3 students are required to stay in the hostel during the course of this programme as various intensive academic programs are lined up for them. This is to inform parents that we had a reshufflement of staff members in the school, while some were transferred to other sections of the school, some staff resigned their appointment. We are assuring parents that some of the changes came as a result of complaints from parents and other stakeholders, as we assure you of consistent improvement despite the changes.
Detention of defaulting students
We would appreciate it if parents go through their ward(s) school work at home so that they will not be detained after school on Mondays and Tuesdays after the closing assembly. As a school we are concerned about the academics of our students hence we will not want to see them default in assignments, note copying, class work or bringing of their school materials (textbooks) to school. When students are detained after school, they carry out their missed tasks under the supervision of our staff, and that may make them to stay late in school till 6:00pm, thereby hindering some students who have other commitment after school to attend to them.
Our entrance examinations for this year will be on 18th February, 2017 at 10:00 am
As a school, we have prayed to God to always provide for you and protect you as you go about your endeavors, please note that we count on your support as we go through the term. Happy New Year once again! Welcome back to school.
