Fathers Read Aloud Day
took place October 19th, 2009

It was a lovely and fulfilling day. Out of the busy schedule fathers have, they came to read to their children and children's friends.
We hope THE FATHERS will continue to read to THIER child: especially bedtime stories.
Please spend time to listen to news together, point out interesting pictures and sign post to them (ask question such as: what is the first letter in the word?) and do other literacy building activities like fixing puzzles together.
It is the complete truth when we say ‘Building Reading Culture’ starts at the foundation stage. A father’s role in accomplishing this cannot be over emphasized. A child is very thrilled and filled with boldness and confidence when his/her father sets the pace. Far more is achieved with less effort when it is the father that facilitates and encourages reading/ literacy activities at home.
Thank you for being that father.
