Senior Secondary School (SSS) Education. View curriculum aims
In Senior Secondary Schools, all students must compulsorily offer:
- English language
- One language (Hausa, Ibo, Yoruba).
- Mathematics
- One of Physics, Chemistry, Biology
- One of Literature in English, History and Geography
- Agricultural science or a vocational subject.
These subjects (1-6) are the CORE subjects.
In addition to the above, every student must offer three elective, not already offered as core subjects, and may drop one of these electives in the third year. The elective subjects are:

- Agricultural Science
- Government Arabic Studies
- Health Science
- Auto Mechanics
- History
- Bible Knowledge
- Home Economics
- Biology
- Islamic Studies
- Book-keeping

Evaluation and Certification
S.S.E: Evaluation and certification are based on the continuous assessment method and on end-of-course examination conducted by the WAEC and NECO leading to the Senior School Certificate (S.S.C).
